Fabrication quality control

Mechanical quality control to run
Site fabrication quality control is mechanical inspections, material checking, welding inspection, NDT, function testing, expediting services, specification quality control of AIM Control Inspection Group are ORGANIZATION OF SOURCE INSPECTION. AIM Control offer a complete range of services. These services comprise engineering inspection of mechanical and electrical equipment at the vendor’s works, complete quality control of plate and tubular steel mills, pre-shipment Inspection for letter of credit purposes, expediting at vendor’s works and Technical Capability Audits basing Inspection Testing Plan (ITP). The purpose of procedure of AIM Control's Vendor/ site fabrication inspection/expediting is:
·          To ensure that procured equipment and materials shall be fabricated in accordance with Contract requirement, purchase order specifications, specified rule and regulations and standards.
·          To describe how source inspection will be carried out.
·          To describe how a vendor or sub-vendor that provides a service for client will be managed.
Responsibility:
- Source Inspection Manager is responsible for;
·         Coordination with Vendor  
·         Coordination with 3rd Party Inspection Agency.
·         Resolve quality issues with Vendor.
·         Review final documentation.
·         Management of source inspectors.
·         Management of 3rd party inspectors.
·         Review and approval of source inspection reports.
- Source Inspector is responsible for;
·         Review of ITP, Quality Plan and FAT Procedure.
·         Review of Purchase Order Specification.
·         Witness, inspection, surveillance. . .and prepare checklist, report.
·         Surveillance of vendor's QA/QC activities. (If required)
·         Reports of quality findings and issues to source inspection manager of client .
·         Prepare inspection reports (Surveillance / report)
·         Review of standard / register certificates/other certificates.
·         Review of final documentation.
·         Review of final documentation. 
Reporting:
·     The source inspector or the 3rd party inspector shall prepare an inspection report for each visit and submit the report to the source inspection manager within 24 hours of inspection completion.
·    Inspection report form shall be used and the following minimum information are listed.
o    Tag Number and P.O Number
o    Assigned Inspector
o    Date and time of Inspection
o    Purpose of visit
o    Report Number
o    Status of Progress (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication)
o    Inspection / Test Description
o    Significant Condition
o    NCR (Non-Conformity Report)
o    Expense List
o    Others 
The activity of procedure of AIM Control's Vendor fabrication expediting is I = Inspect, R = Review, V = Verify, W = Witness, H = Hold Point, O = Observation Point,  First Article Only - Random Thereafter, Random Inspection (Engineered Equipment), Random Inspection (Non Engineered Equipment),  100% Examination,  Supplier Action Required. . .
Definitions, terms, and abbreviations:
Vendor is a person, company, or group that is the recipient of a "direct" purchase order who sells equipment and materials that are manufactured, fabricated, assembled, and/ or packaged for client project or a Subcontractor.
ITP is a documented plan for conducting inspection and testing, usually provided in the form of a matrix or table.
NCR is Non-Conformity Report.
Source Inspectors is the source inspector is one who executes the source inspection activities. He is designated by the source inspection manager and directed by the source inspection manager. The source inspector executes the source inspection and test activities and reports the inspection and test results to the source inspection manager.
Source Inspection Manager is the source inspection manager is the one who manages the general processes of the source inspection and reports the progress of the inspection activities to all parties concerned of the results of this activity.
Surveillance Inspection is Surveillance inspection is a visit to the vendor or sub-vendor to monitor the process, workmanship, and progresses of the ordered material/equipment without any formal notification from or to vendors.
